2) go to directory c:\program files\windows live\messenger
3) open msgres.dll, locate 0ffset 009E39A6 [02 00 02 08 02 00 02 03], change to [04 FF FF FF FD 07 00 0B], save
4) open msnmsgr.exe, locate offset 00034678 [4C 00 6F .. .. ..] until offset 000346C8 [.. .. .. 60 00 72], highlight and right click to select "fill selected" with "00", save
5) reopen your messenger, it should be removed.
